Combine the ingenious technique of making your own stamps with beautiful embossing powders to create festive metallic effects that will certainly sparkle!
Using just a pack of rubbers and a craft knife, you too can add this skill to your never-ending repertoire. Hannah Read-Baldrey has designed hers using holly leaves, berries and a mistletoe branch but you can fashion yours in any shapes you fancy!
YOU WILL NEED:
Helix economy rubber, 3cm x 5.5cm x 4cm
Stamps, alphabet
Ink pad, clear embossing
Embossing pen, clear
Embossing powders
Anti-static powder
Heat gun
METHOD:
To make the stamps, draw out your design onto a rubber using a permanent marker; these envelopes are made with holly leaves, berries and a mistletoe branch. Using a craft knife, carefully cut around the foliage shapes from the top to the bottom of the rubber. As the stamps are quite fine, mount them on top of strong card. Cut the card just big enough to cover the stamp and glue it to the back. Allow to dry fully before using.
